International Conference
The TAP International Conference will present a wide range of possibilities arising from the interaction between art and industrial technology, bringing together artists, designers, and scholars from around the world to build a global Art & Technology community. Operated as a biennial event, the first year will focus on the presentation and research of new ideas and items, while the second year will expand these concepts into practical design and IT industries, establishing a systematic collaboration between artists and the industrial sector.

He has held numerous prominent positions, including Professor in the Division of Design at Seoul National University, Dean of the College of Fine Arts at Seoul National University, President of the Korean Society of Public Design, Deputy Mayor of Seoul Metropolitan City,
Chairperson of the Seoul Design Foundation, President of Hanssem Co., and President of Kaywon University of Art & Design. He has conducted on-site research in over 680 cities across 78 countries within the realm of architectural civilizations. He has authored 43 books, including Designing a New Civilization, My National Design Strategy, Public Design Administration, Designing Seoul, and 16 Lessons on Spatial Design. Through his extensive work across government, industry, and academia, he has contributed significantly to the globalization of Korean design and the internationalization of design education.
He was awarded the Order of Civil Merit, the Hwangjo Geunjeong Medal, by the Korean government for his contributions to the socialization of design, and the Seoul Culture Award by the Seoul Metropolitan Government. He also served as a member of the Presidential Committee on Green Growth and was inducted into the 9th Design Hall of Fame in Korea. He is regarded as a pioneer of public design, the founder of spatial design, a patriarch of Korea's design community, and a guru of design studies. He currently serves as the Principal of Seoul Arts High School, Chairperson of the Seoul Design Foundation, Distinguished Professor at Dongseo University, and Chairman of the Presidential National Architectural Policy Commission. He received the Creative Management Award in 2009 and the Korean Government’s Yellow Stripes medal of honor in 2007.

She entered the field of media art in 1997 with her thesis on video art, focusing on Bill Viola and Gary Hill, while studying at the Graduate School of Fine Arts at Seoul National University. In 1998, she developed a sound-interactive visualizer program at the R&D venture company Media Art Lab, Inc., and obtained a patent for the VSRL (Virtual Sound Responsive Landscape) system, a virtual reality audiovisual program, in 2002. She later majored in Interactive Media Art at New York University’s ITP (Interactive Telecommunications Program), graduating in 2007 with her thesis project, AV Brush.
Since 2010, she has served as the director of NMARA (New Media Art Research Association), where she has curated exhibitions, multidisciplinary performances, and fusion seminars combining art and technology. Her notable roles include: Outdoor Screening Director for Media City Seoul in 2012, Director of the Art & Science Fusion Project Dynamic Structure & Fluid Project in 2014, General Director of Dream of Water at the Han River Autumn Light Festival in 2015, General Director of the multidisciplinary arts project Requiem for Hybrid Life for international artistic exchange in 2017, and Artistic Director of the performance Yeon. In 2019, she was the chief organizer of the conference AI and Robotics as Art, and in 2023, she planned the ChatGPT WAR multimodal lecture conference.
She is particularly interested in the connections and co-evolution between humans, nature, and machines, as well as the interaction between future studies, multidisciplinary arts, and other academic fields. She co-authored the book Artificial Intelligence and Posthumanism (Yihaksaje, co-author)

Professor Kyogu Lee graduated from the Department of Electrical Engineering at Seoul National University in 1996. He received his Master’s degree in Music Technology from New York University in 2002, followed by a Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering and a Ph.D. in Computer Music and Acoustics from Stanford University in 2007 and 2008, respectively. From 2007 to 2009, he worked as a Senior Research Scientist at Gracenote’s Media Technology Lab in the U.S. before joining Seoul National University in 2009. He has served as Associate Dean of the Graduate School of Convergence Science and Technology and is currently a professor in the Department of Intelligence and Information. He also serves as the Head of the X + AI Research Division at the SNU AI Institute and as the Director of the AI Art Research Center. Since joining the university, he has led the Music and Audio Research Group, conducting research on machine learning and audio signal processing applied to speech and music. In March 2020, he founded Supertone, developing AI-powered audio solutions for creators. Professor/CEO Kyogu Lee is the only Korean selected for the recent TIME100 AI 2024 list.

Park Jae-sung, a professor in the Department of Sculpture at Seoul National University, is recognized for his interdisciplinary approach to art, merging Eastern philosophy with modern science. His work delves into the complex relationship between sensation and perception, with a particular emphasis on human subjectivity. Utilizing a wide range of media, including video, installation, sculpture, and photography, Park’s artistic practice examines the technological future through cutting-edge tools like AI, VR, AR, robotics, and brainwave recognition.
Moving beyond traditional gallery spaces, Park explores public art and performance, pushing the boundaries of interaction and experience. He is known for his collaborative projects across disciplines such as engineering, natural sciences, and the humanities, constantly seeking to redefine the role of art in a rapidly evolving technological landscape.
Park holds a degree in Visual Design from Seoul National University and a master's degree from the Royal College of Art (RCA) in London. His work has been exhibited internationally, with notable shows such as the LUX exhibition in London (2021), Seoul Light at DDP, and major group exhibitions like Korean Eye 2012 at Saatchi Gallery and Ars Electronica (2017-2019). His accolades include the Grand Prize at the 2010 Joongang Fine Arts Prize and the Grand Prix at the 2016 VH Award. Currently, Park continues to pioneer research and education in spatial installation and Art & Technology at Seoul National University.
